Ever since I've upgraded to Snow Leopard, any kind of audio or video chat has caused my mic levels to lower themselves considerably. This has been a pain for the other people that I talk to, because I've been coming out VERY faint to them. I was wondering if there was a way to lock the mic levels so that they won't readjust?

I didn't even bother to think about this, but would it be possible to write an AppleScript that would automatically bump the input level back up to a set number using the "osascript -a "set volume input volume" command? I'm not familiar with writing AppleScripts, but it seems intuitive and simple enough.
