Lock my external drive

Are there any recommended software to lock an external drive from prying eyes. Be it on OSX or Windows?

Does it only lock drive to a specific pc or even if you plug to a different machine it will still be locked?

There is loads of information here. I do not believe it works with Mac though.

You need Windows Vista or Windows 7 Ultimate or Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Pro or Enterprise, or Windows Server 2008.
