First, by “Lock-out screen” I’m talking about the screen that appears when you pick up your iPhone (SE v2, iOS 26.2 here); I don’t think that’s the proper term for it but I’m getting senile.
Anyhoo, sometime between iOS 26 and 26.2, the amount of time that screen stays on has dropped to about one second. I often pick up my phone just to check the time, or the weather, or the battery level, or a timer while I’m cooking, all which I can do without unlocking the phone via TouchID. With only 1 second before the screen goes dark again, I can’t check those things in time (especially opening the timer).
I’ve been trying to find the place where I can extend that time back to about the 5 seconds where it used to be; I’ve checked Settings >General, Display & Brightness, Home Screen, Standby, Wallpaper, even Accessibility; but I can’t find that particular control. I know it’s gotta be here somewhere, but can’t find it.
Any help? TIA!
