lock screen flickers

when ever i unlock my phone the screen flickers then comes on. oddly enough though when i have my head phones in the screen turns on normal. anyone know whats wrong?

i go to school 16 blocks from the 5th ave store so i might just bring it in if keeps on doing this.

its a 4s. it cant be the home button because when the headphones are in it doesnt do it

my iphone 4 used to do that sometime. its not big deal and its not a hardware problem
