iPhone Lock Screen Notifications

Has anyone else been experiencing the following issue with ios 13:

when clicking on an new message received (imessage) in the lock screen, it only opens the imessage app rather than going straight to the thread. small problem but problem nonetheless

any fixes?

I see that occasionally. No way to fix, other than to try a reboot.
