iPhone 15 Pro Lock screen: Tap to wake delay (AOD is active)

My iPhone 15 Pro exhibits a rather annoying problem regarding tap to wake at the lock screen: While AOD is active, tapping the screen results in a pretty noticeable delay (up to approx. 1 second) until the phone wakes up and the wallpaper fades in (I use AOD without displaying the wallpaper). Using raise to wake only somewhat alleviates the problem, the delay is also noticeable.

Does anyone else experience this?

Yup. I’ve found my iPhone 15 Pro to be much more responsive after turning off AOD
