I was thinking to myself isn't it time to change the lock-screen as it isn't that great and can be improved tremendously.

Do you agree? What would you like to see on the lock-screen?

The jailbreaking community has been doing this for a while. It would be nice for Apple to take advantage of this but knowing them, we won't see it until iOS gets a major UI revamp.

I like to see a calendar...
I don't have to see my schedule...but it's nice to have a quick glance at the month your in.

I haven't seen many iphone screen calendars though.
I know smashing magazine does great desktop calendars that are user generated.
Maybe we'll see someone do something similar for the iphone.

Everyone wants to see some sort of notification system on the lock screen.

I just want to see some level of customization. Weather, sports game score, stock, etc. Just a few simple things so I don't even have to open an application to see the information I want.

I understand there are alternatives but I wanted apple to implement it.

They at least offered the option to have a different lock screen image from the background image.
If I understood correctly...

I would also like to see some sort of notifications on the lock screen. Calendar and weather would also be nice.

It was time when the 3G and OS2 came about ....

But remember, Apple takes it's time to get things right! What a load of shiste!

I understand that not everyone wants it but it should be optional in the settings, I'm looking at my lock-screen now and its very dull and alot could be added to it like widgets..

I want to remind everyone:

i really wish they put l.e.d. notifications so i could know if i got a message and what type of message without touching the phone. i find myself constantly touching my home button just to check if i missed anything. even if u jailbreak u can't get passed this. :(
