The lock sounds used to be tied to the ringer volume. Now they are not.
I'm finding the lock sounds really loud, how do you turn them down???

I've disabled the lock sounds for now, and turned my ringer volume down a little. Not sure why the lock sounds are so loud though - not as though you need them to be!

I remember this happening during the beta at one point, but I thought they had it fixed. I don't ever use the lock/keyboard sounds so it's not an issue for me, but you guys should report the bug to Apple.

It first started happening to me on the most recent beta so they didn't fix it but it very well may be by design.

iPad running ios6 sounds fine - just happens to the iPhone for some reason.

I noticed this yesterday too. Happens on my iPhone and not my iPad. My first thought was "oh, not this again." This was a widespread issue when iOS 5 (I think) came out.

Iva had to switch off the lock sounds for now, but I'm used to having them on, so every time I unlock my phone it feels as though I have the silent switch on the side of the phone on!

Just upgraded to my iPhone 5 and the lock sounds are back to normal? Maybe its a glitch on earlier models.

Not helpful I know, but i hate the lock sounds!! Remind me of those old Samsung sliders with the awful chimes people used to have when sliding them up/down!! *shudders*
