First of all, I love my iPhone 5! :)

Now then, has anyone else noticed a bit of a difference in the lock sounds on the iP5?

It seems a bit lower pitched.

There also seems to be a bug I keep running into where lock/alert/text/email sounds are very quiet, but ring volume is high. Changing the volume with the buttons affects ring volume but not the other sounds. If I go to sound settings and move the slider, everything goes back to normal. I've had to do this twice now and haven't found what triggers the bug yet.

Don't know if this is related but I lose system sounds (lock and keyboard clicks etc) after I have used Siri. I either have to restart the phone or turn off then turn on those sounds. Anyone else?

Yes. This is happening to my husband's phone. We are wondering what to do about it. The only fix is restarting the phone.

Have just found out on mine that it might be a case of giving its few seconds then sounds come back on their own. Does this work for anyone?

I have similar symptoms from time to time on my iPhone 5.

I notice some system sounds like lock, notifications, etc will either go away, or get real quiet sometimes.

Sometimes just bringing up siri and closing it right away will bring sounds back to normal levels. Sometimes only restarting works.

Sounds like a bug in iOS 6 to me.

OP, I'm attributing the change in the lock sound to the better speaker on the iPhone 5.

My sounds all seemed really quiet to me too. I kept trying the volume buttons, the sound showed all the way up. On a hunch I opened the Music app. The volume slider was at half way. Once I turned that up all of my system sounds were at full volume.
