I was wondering if there was a way to lock iTunes as the only application; meaning, only being able to access iTunes on my Mac unless you enter a password. The reason I'm asking is that I'm having a party, and want to be able to leave the computer on to play music, but I don't want people opening any of my other programs.

I suppose I could create a playlist on my iPod and hide my computer, but I want people to be able to easily see and select songs. Thanks.

If I were you, I'd create a new user account and run iTunes from there. Remember to back everything up before the party though, just in case someone spills something on your Mac or throws an ox at it.

I think the best option (if you can find one) would be to use a screen saver that shows the name and artist of the song playing and have the screen saver password protected so it's stuck there until you unlock it. I know there's an album art screen saver, but not sure about one for naming the current song.
