I think it would be nice if iOS allows users to designate apps that can be used even when the phone is locked.

For example, I might want to be able to access my contacts and make calls from that list, or check movie times without having to unlock my phone, but I might want to keep my email and banking apps under lock until I want to use them.

Features like Siri and emergency call work without unlock. Why not other stuff?

- Apple doesn't have a system in place to allow adding/removing of features/apps to the lockscreen.

- If a UI change did allow for apps/featues to be used from the lockscreen this would increase the accidental pocket dials or launches that are already taking place now.
