So I fixed my grandfathers iphone(new battery) and it's passcode locked. It's an iP4 running a version of iOS 6. He told me his passcode(or what he thought it was) since he has a new phone already.

Of course, it's not right. I keep getting locked out so I'm wondering if there is a way to get by it. Don't tell me how i probably stole it cause it's not needed. I don't wanna have to force restore because I don't want it to update to iOS 7 to save it for a jailbreak. Any options?

you can see if you could dump your blobs using ifaith and then dfu restore to iOS 6 with those blobs
