Help please.

A friend emailed me a locked QT file (or partial since it's showing only 8kb in size). If I select it in column view or open "Get Info" to unlock it, it freezes my Finder; trying to open it in any program freezes them too.

How can I delete this locked file which I cannot unlock? It seems to occur when the computer is trying to show a preview. Unfortunately, it freezes before I can do anything.

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

In column view of Finder, select any other folder and close Preview (disclosure triangle)
Then go to the file and unlock it, delete it.

Regards, BJ
