Locking folders on Airport Extreme Shared Disk

I have an airport extreme with two hard drives connected to it. Both of these hard drives are shared over the sever with everyone in my apartment.

Some of the folders on these hard drives are media, which I'd like to share with everyone, but some of the others are personal folders which I would like to protect with a password or made invisible. Is there a way to do this? It seems standard osx security doesn't seem to stick once the HD's are broadcasted through the airport
