Locking the name and author of mp3 for free use

Hi all,

I am planning to release a track for free download on my website. Obviously I do not expect to recoup any cash for this, but I would really like to make sure that I get credit for it. Is there a way to "lock" the mp3 information into the file, kind of like a digital watermark so that people will know where it came from? If I convert the AIFF file into mp3 in itunes, will it embed the info into the file?
