Just out of interest has anyone managed to lock the screen in video mode?? I was viewing a movie recently and pressed the on/off switch slightly by mistake and before I knew it the screen was locked. Great because you couldnt accidently activate any features etc.

The only problem is I tried this again and couldn't get it work pressing the button slowly just turned off the ipod. Is there a technique to this??

Im not really sure what you mean but:

To turn the ipod off, you hold the power switch for a few seconds until the red slider tells you to turn it off

To put the ipod to sleep, you just press the power button once

He means that when you watch a video in landscape, is there a method of locking the iPod.

There isn't, sadly. The controls just vanish after a few seconds.

I am also fairly sure he made mention of an incident in where he was watching a video and he managed to "lock" the screen without the screen turning off. I presume this was just a bug that basically made the screen not work. I don't know, but there is no feature that locks the screen whilst watching a video.
