Just installed iOS 7.1
I'm using a "Still Apple Wallpaper" as the Background on my Lockscreen (I'm using the first one -- the bluish image of space, galaxies etc.), with a passcode on my iPhone 4S.
I have "Reduced Motion" turned on, because I don't like the excessive animations in standard-issue iOS 7.1.
When I wake my phone, the Lockscreen Background zooms a bit. This didn't used to happen with iOS 7.0.
I saw this feature called "Perspective Zoom" being talked about in some websites. So I tried to switch it off. HOWEVER, my phone's wallpaper settings don't offer "Perspective Zoom" setting as an option. I'm thinking that setting may be exclusive to iPhone 5/5s.
Bottomline:
A) I don't want my Lockscreen Background to zoom at all (because it unnecessarily wastes my battery).
B) If anyone knows how I can set this in my iPhone 4S, please let me know.
C) If someone from Apple is reading this, please pass this on inside Apple: If I choose to turn on "Reduced Motion," that should include the Lockscreen Background zoom being turned off.
Update: turns out that
1) "Perspective Zoom" is available in 4S, unless "Reduce Motion" is turned on (as is the case in mine).
2) I'm told that this background zooming also happened in iOS7 (i.e., pre-iOS7.1). I guess I just never noticed it before.
