Lockscreen statusbar Icon

Does anyone know if I can change the original battery icon on the status bar without theming it? Is there a folder somewhere that i can put my own images in? I found the large charging battery but not the one in the statusbar. Again without theming it. Just by placing .png files into what folder?

You used to be able to just by changing out the png files, but no longer. Now they're kept in an .artwork bundle that is very hard to edit. Theming the battery icon is the only way without rewriting old software.

Thanks Intell....does it matter that I'm running ipod 2g 4.2.1? Or is it still to hard to edit?

Still hard to edit. I forget if the last easy version was 3.1.3 or 2.2.1.
