My iMac all of a sudden won't log out. We are on a network - this is my work computer. The other day I logged off, and I kept getting "log out failed" errors because programs were open and it timed out. Before, logging out would close the programs down unless I had something open to save. I closed the program it named, then I'd get another message that another program caused it to time out. So I manually closed all of them (normal programs, Word, Entourage, Printer Proxy, etc). Once I did that, I logged out again - my desktop disappeared - but then it just sat there suspended, and had to force quit. After restart, same thing. Won't log out.

Anyone experience this or have an idea of what might be the problem? Our IT guy is stumped.
