Is there a way that I can have the computer automatically log out and then go to sleep when I close the cover of my MacBook? In that way I would be required to log in when resuming work (and if the computer was stolen, then some security against unauthorized access).

I'm not sure of a super easy way to do this... I'd like my Macs to FUS to the login window on sleep, too. But for starters, Sys Prefs -> Security -> Require password to wake... check this box and you will need to password in after any wake. It's the same user account password and doing this is more or less equally efficacious from a security standpoint.

That works fine for my needs. Thanks!
