iPhone SE (2020) Logging out of iphone, but keeping data on phone - does this actually work?!

Hi All,


A suggested fix to ailments is to Sign out and Sign in your iCloud Account on the iphone, and select data to be kept on the iPhone....

However, when you log back into your iCloud Account on the iphone, does it actually seamlessly work? Or does it just try to download everthing from the ICloud regardless?


I’m backing up my iPhone now just in case.

[now i see it]

Stuff that is already in iCloud stays there when you log out. Log back in and it will all be there. Don't worry about the scary warnings saying everything will be deleted from your phone. While technically it will when you log out (you won't have access to anything in iCloud) when you log back in it'll all be available again
