Ok, I'm a photographer and photo illustrator. I sometimes make photoshop files that are huge. Often over 4 gb. So when I work on my photoshop files I have to close everything else I am doing to get the performance I need.

But I don't want to close everything. I want to be able to log out of my main account and log into a stripped down account for photo editing purposes. But here is the problem. I want the other account to save the state it is in, leaving everything open, without using the system resources. Like loading the current ram state to the HD before logging out.

My current understanding is that fast app switching keeps using system resources from the non active account.

So is there a way to log out with a saved state without using system resources while in the 2nd account?
