I had an unfortunate spill on my late 2008 macbook and the power button was not responding after i turned my macbook off so i used the hotwire method to turn it back on a few days later and the keyboard does not respond now. Is this the logic board? How much is this repair typically?
cheeres, Badge from SC

it could also be the keyboard/topcase itself i think, since the power button is on there also. replacing that is considerably less expensive than a new logic board.

I'd have to agree with Samuelsan above.

Time to start shopping for something new, Apple-refurbished, or "late-model used" ...
