Does anyone know where I can get a hold of a placement diagram for the macbook pro logic board. I have the schematic, but need a map of the parts to fix my problem. Apple has to generate the placement diagram for techs but I cannot find one on the internet.

Most schematics have a board view for the logic board. It shows the parts locations on the board. They are a .brd file and opened with a viewer.

The viewer is an .exe program that can be run under os x using wine. The viewer generally comes zipped with the board view file.

Thank you for the information. I am familiar with .brd files. Do you happen to know where I can get one for the macbook pro?

Can you provide the link to where I can buy the file for 3.99 - can't find on "bay" - I took this to mean EBAY.

Just search for “laptop schematics 3.99”

Confirm availability with seller your 820 XXXX board number.

They will generally get it in your email the same day.
