My old iBook G3, which was sold to my sisters bf? friend? who the heck knows. Anyways, she says the battery suddenly dropped out of it and now the display won't work. I tried a PRAM reset, PMU reset, and when I got the display to work and was in Open Firmware, guess what happened. I'd try to type then my cursor would appear in the middle of the screen, I'd start typing and it'd say such command was not found or whatever it says in OF. Anyways, I'm guessing that its a Logic Board problem, that's the only thing it could be, right? It'll load into the OS and everything, but the back display does not work.

Yeah, sounds like a logic board. Did those old iBooks come with Hardware Test CDs? It could be interesting to see what the results are from that. :)
