Logic board replaced..should i reformat?

My logic board was replaced/upgraded from 2.4 to 2.6, is working fine although I'm just curious to see whether I have any need to reformat my hard drive?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There's no need to do anything if the system's running fine.

I agree. Although I was curious as to whether the logic board and hard drive ever have a 'connection' or sharing of data that is created during a format or leopard installation.
