macOS Logic Express plug-in development

I like the idea of developing plugins for Logic Express. There are some good ones out there but I like the idea of creating my own effects and personalising them to the max. Does anyone know any tutorials where I could go about creating Logic Express plugins? I have a basic knowledge of C's command-line functions (basic syntax, functions, procedures, pointers etc)
