Hey guys quick question

I just bought logic with my new MBP.

I tried installing yesterday which took ages but was sucessful, however the applications seem to have installed twice.
Im my apps folder I have
LOGIC PRO and LOGIC PRO 9.0.0 (784 / 762)
LOGIC NODE and LOGIC NODE 9.0.0 (105 / 96)
MAIN STAGE and MAIN STAGE 2.0.0 (576 / 529)

( sound track pro etc didnt install as i run FCP 2)

I would have assumed that the install had some how doubled up and would have deleted one if them however each one is a different byte size. ( shown in brackets above)

Can anyone explain this, i have slight OCD and like my folders to be tidy and this is doing my head in hahaha.

Both icons seem to launch the applications so im unsure why i need 2!!!

any why are they different sizes ? ?

When Logic receives a sofware update the older version is renamed with the version number at the end. You can move those ones to the trash.

To add to Jolly Jimmys post:

Regular Logic updates simply overwrite an existing version, the last one was major however insofar that it included 64bit versions of the applications and no more PPC executables. For that reason backups of the previous versions were created during the update process.

thanks chaps, so I just remove the oldest one of these programms =) thank you !!!
