had a g5 imac that bit the dust- bad capacitors. decided to get a mac pro. apple dealer put the hard drive from Imac in the Mac Pro. the MP is Intel 2.8 octo. Logic Studio is installed on old Imac drive. can I install LS on the new Mac Pro system drive without a problem? should I remove the old Imac drive first? any input appreciated.

Yes, do a clean install. That's always the better way to go. Use the iMac drive to get to your data, but not the apps. Reinstall the apps.
