Hey guys.

I sound design, and I'm reading through the Logic Pro 8: Beyond the Basics book and I've done the section about copying and pasting etc however there's one thing that I can't do.

In Pro Tools if I want to take a small bit of a track , I highlight it, copy it, and then can click ANYWHERE in any other track and paste it right in there.

However when I go to paste into another section of the arrangement area in logic it pastes it IN THE SAME TRACK, exactly where the start-marker is located.

How can I get it to paste to the area I click with my Marquee tool?

Thanks a lot. :)

After you have copied the region(s) you have to select which track you wish to paste it into.

However:

highlight the regions you wish to copy. Hold alt and drag them to any track/location in the arrange window.

voila, easy copy and paste.

I no longer use regular copy and paste after I learned this.
