Hi everyone,
This morning i received my polycarb 2.1ghz macbook that i got on ebay, and i absolutely ****ing love it. I am now left in the pickle of whether or not to keep true to my original plan of also buying a january imac. The macbook was bought with 3GB ram already upgraded in, and im really happy with the power so far for just setting up my music in itunes and the like, so what is the basic consensus about the power required by pro audio applications like logic pro and pro tools 8 LE. I'm tempted by the imac just for the sheer blow your nuts off power of a 3.06ghz processor and an 8800 gfx card (which i hope they will either keep or upgrade in the jan model), and the fact that a 24" screen will make keeping an eye on tracks in my DAW great, and watching movies. So, go mac nerds, give me your wise words.
Cheers,
