Okay so i was working on a song a few days ago and decided to come back and throw down some more riffs, when all of the sudden i go to open up logic and it keeps saying it's quitting unexpectedly? Wth? So i restarted, same problem. Uninstalled, reinstalled, same problem. What can i do to remedy this? Thanks in advance for any help!

delete the preferences for Logic.

Users/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.plist

Thanks man! Seems like something like that would work but there's actually no preferences one for logic in there. :(

Hi mate,

Gave you wrong file name.

search for this
com.apple.logic.pro.plist

it will be there.

Thanks man! But actually it's not! As you can see it's definitely not in there! :(

strange...

Are you in the correct Preferences folder? There are two:

1. HD/Library/Preferences/

2. HD/Users/jaredstanfield/Library/Preferences/

You should find it in 2.

Ahh! That was it, thanks a ton for being patient with me! haha

Well i found it and deleted it and still no luck! I took a picture of the crash report cause i thought maybe that would help. Also i've been looking around the net for a similar problem and other people are saying it was some update that did it but while i have updated it, it was like a couple days ago and logic hasn't been working for like a week and i hadn't updated anything in months before it stopped working.

It's cool! Is there anything you have updated between when Logic worked and when it stopped working?

Have you installed the latest pro app update?

You using an audio interface? Which one?
What 3rd party plug-ins have you got?
Try running Audio Unit Scan (in Applications) to check they are not crashing Logic.

Try repairing permisions. Quit all applications.
Go: Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
Select First Aid if you see it and choose the internal Drive and choose Repair Disk permissions.
Restart and try again.

Not work? On Logic's splash screen what does it say before it crashed?
