How do you think it would run? with 8gb of ram.

It appeals to me because it has no fan noise.

I don't do anything to complicated, just drummer track, guitar, bass, midi keyboard and vocals.

all I use now is a core 2 duo white macbook but thats just for acoustic guitar and vocals, nothing else.

I have seen some people advise against it because of throttling but seems like the m3 is quite quick and doesn't throttle much according to this thread? -
