Logic Pro X plug-in values changing

While using Logic Pro X (most updated version) I have had an issue the past couple days. Let's say I'm changing the value of gain to -4 dB. It sets fine but if I exit the plug-in it'll set it a really small number like -57 dB. The only way I've found to fix this is clicking some empty space on the plug-in, then it will set fine. Has anyone else had an error like this? It's been happening mainly with the gain plug-in and the multimeter plug-in
