Logical explanation to why there are cracks on the white iphone 3g

ok I'll just get to the point think about who buys white iphones? Girls but there some guys too. Girls like to put there phones in their back pocket so when they sit down all there weight goes on the phone and cracks the housing. Doesn't that make more sense?
 
Girls buy white iPhones? Where'd you get that from? Is that an opinion or did you conduct a poll?

And about the cracks...umm..no...try again.
 
Personally I believe the injection mould was a tad flawed and made the sides very weak. Therefore a combination of heat and pressure casuses crack to appear, which will get worse over time.

As pointed out above it is a flaw in the injection moulding process…

Yes, the root cause is bad design (of the mould) and/or too high a rate of injection…

that probably also explains why you can see light shining through the back when you look at it at night. some call it another form of "light leak"

Shear ignorance. Have you read any of the descriptions of the conditions these phones have been in...

EDIT: And don't start your thread title with "LOGICAL" if you don't know what that means...
 
Actually I would think the white plastic to be a little weaker than the black.
This is because the filler to make white (TiO2) doesn't reinforce plastic as well as the filler for black (carbon black).

In the end I believe its just molding conditions and design but the plastic strength difference may be enough to make the white crack more than the black.

wait that can't be right, I am a guy, I too wear skinny jeans and I do have a white iPhone 3G, however it has no cracks what so ever, the only damage on the casing are little dents, but they were from being dropped!

Reminder: Male, Skinny Jeans, No cracks
 
yes it was a joke other wise why would I say logical? Anyways I'm on my black iPhone right and it's hard to type so don't flame me because of my spelling but obviously it was a joke I just had dun reading all the comments
