Hi I was upgrading the memory in my cMBP and I noticed what looked like some residue on the logicboard near the USB ports.

(Full Discloser I did knock into a glass of soda a few weeks ago and did get some on the wrist rest area on the left side over the battery and a tiny bit on the trackpad but nothing on the keyboard or near the ports and it really was not that much)

Could it be some sort of flux or circuit board coating? It looks similar to other areas on the board where there is something soldered but in a much wider area.

At first I thought it was from the minor spill but there are no signs of residue anywhere else inside. The edge of the board in that area is clean and there is nothing on the inside of the case on the ports etc.

Any Ideas what it is? Everything is working 100% I also have the SquareDeal warranty with accidental damage replacement. So if it does eventually corrode and stop working in the next 3 years I am covered

I posted some pics but they are not the greatest I can take some better ones when I get home if needed

thanks
