I want to do something very simple with Logic Express (which I've just started learning)-- record a guitar part through an iMic over USB, while monitoring the result via speakers connected through the built-in Mac audio.
Problem is, when I plug in my iMic, Logic's coreaudio driver switches to "iMic"- and appears to send both input and output duties to it. How can I tell it to only use the iMic as an input device, and keep my speakers on? Is it simply not possible? Is Logic only designed for "full" I/O boxes? This is kind of annoying...
