Hi,

I have a macbook which seems to be doing something funny. I leave my computer to sleep at night and have it set to ask for a password after 15minutes. However it seems that when it sits overnight, the next morning when I go to enter my password the system locks up. I get the beach ball and can't enter my password for a good 20-30 seconds. Sometimes the screen will refuse to light up and I have to leave it for a bit. It is fine durring the day, but as soon as I leave it overnight it takes it forever to get its act together. It does the same thing if I logout and try and login in the morning. Does anyone have an idea why its doing this?

Thanks,
Geoff

If you can't find a solution, try manually logging out, then put it to sleep. In other words, achieve the same thing - it's asleep and requires a PW - but in a different manner.
