login in Safari suddenly requires computer password

I store my passwords in Safari for use in autofill. Recently, I'm not sure whether it corresponds to an update (I'm current with High Sierra 10.13.6), it has put up the following dialog when logging in to most of my websites. I can deal with it but it is an extra step.

Has anyone else had this issue or am I alone :)
