I've got a weird thing going on with my Mac Mini running 10.12.3. When I wake it from sleep, the login password box gets autofilled. I don't know what it is being filled with, but it isn't my password. I'm thinking an app is behind this, but I can't figure out which one.

I don't know if it is related or not, but I have had some big problems with this mini waking up from Safe Sleep. It is this waking from sleep issue that caused me to upgrade to Sierra.

Any ideas?

A bluetooth keyboard by any chance? Or do you press any key to wake up the Mac Mini?

You should obtain a report from EtreCheck to see if any strange programs are running.

It is a wired keyboard, and any key will wake the mac (in theory). This all started about a month ago after a series of system and app updates.
