This is my login screen after I restart my MBPr 15. Running Sierra 10.12.3

It shows a silhouette outline and its a greyish colour. Why is it like this? This just started with Sierra. I use the Admin account as the main account on my laptop. Under users and groups I have a different profile picture (of the three blue eggs). I see that on the login screen when I put the laptop to sleep.

Any ideas or is this what everyone is getting?

Oh My God! It's rendering an arrow and some red stuff under your picture! GPU isssues!!!

All kidding aside, it seems like just a regular bug. You could write Apple about it if it annoys you and see if it gets fixed in 10.12.5
