As I use my MacBook Pro throughout the day I notice the process 'loginwindow' starts using more and more memory. Notice it on at around 200MB but it often swells to over 2GB. I have to either restart or run Dr Cleaner to optimise the memory.

What could be causing this?
Someone has suggested its got something to do with the external HDMI monitor I am using combined with USB-C to HDMI cable not putting the Mac to sleep correctly when the lid id shut or when you disconnect the cable.

Any ideas?
