I bought a MacBook Pro in late January and just purchased the Logitech Anywhere MX Mouse to go with it. I did a lot of research and it seemed like the Anywhere or Performance mice by Logitech were my best bet. I went with the Anywhere because of its smaller size.
When I first connected it to my PC (work) laptop it worked great immediately, drivers installed (no need for CD), back and forward buttons work, scroll works well, etc.
I then connected it to my Mac expecting much the same (if not better performance), and while it was immediately recognized with no driver installation, the back and forward buttons do not work and the scroll wheel is incredibly slow!
Just this evening I went to install the CD that came with the mouse on my Mac for better performance, and it installed well, rebooted, then went into the Logitech control center app to modify the buttons, etc. For some reason, however, the app is getting stuck and appears to almost not recognize the app.
If you've been in Logitech Control Center before it tells you to switch the mouse (or device) off and back on. I did this, waited...and waited...nothing. I tried removing the USB adapter, replugging it in, trying again...nothing. I tried rebooting my laptop again...still nothing. It's obvious the Mac is recognizing the mouse because I can use it and if I go to the Advanced settings I can see it there, but I can't proceed past the screen telling me to turn it off/back on, because the "next" button doesn't appear until the mouse is recognized.
Needless to say, I'm about ready to return it to Amazon, but I wanted to check and see if anyone here had any insight on what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance!
