Liverpool.
This mouse was initially bought for my work laptop and has been used in part on my 2010 MacBook.

But now, on my 2012 MBP, It seems that no matter what software I install from the Logitech website, I end up stuck at the same point. The software asks me to insert the 'Unifying' device so it can detect it and then boom, nothing! It doesn't recognise anything and that's it. Mouseless.

Has anyone used this mouse with a later-edition MBP? If so, what software do you have exactly?

It works fine with any Mac model. Perhaps you have a problem with your USB port or with the Logitech USB receiver. Have you tried the other USB port?

Yes, I've tried both ports. The USB port works fine with all of my USB sticks and external hard drives. Likewise with the Unifying Receiver, it works with all other laptops including MacBook. Hmm.
