I received my new iPad 8th generation last week. With it, I ordered the Smart Keyboard because I read some good reviews on it. These reviews were definitely well-earned, as I love typing on this thing. It’s comfortable and responsive.

Some things I don’t like about it, however, are:
1. No back cover. Isn’t the biggest issue since the screen is protected, but would be nice.
2. No backlight keyboard. I like to use my iPad in bed before going to sleep and have to turn brightness up to see the keys.
3. No physical control buttons (volume up/down, brightness up/down, etc)
4. Less than perfect viewing angle. Sits too far back and reflects ceiling lights. Logitech looks like it sits up slightly more and I’d like that.

Theoretically, the Logitech combo keyboard/case solves all the issues and includes a trackpad to boot, and I’m considering returning my Smart Keyboard to get it. But I want to get some insight from those who have it before I make the switch. Is it easy to type on? Is the viewing angle pleasing? Is the extra weight and thickness that bothersome or is it fine? Thanks in advance for any feedback!
