Hey everyone.. I have a question regarding the Logitech G5 Laser mouse. I was wondering if all the buttons on the mouse can be assigned to various functions in OS X. Like all are the buttons usable in OS X? Any one out there with this mouse? If so... I would love to know!

Thanks.

EDIT: Nevermind... no one needs to reply to this... I found the info I need.. sorry for that!

I'll answer for future searchers since I just got one...

ALL functions work even with NO drivers needed (no official G5 driver exists, though ControllerMate, SteerMouse and USB Overdrive are options if you need extra customization).

Without drivers, I can:

Left-, Right-, and Middle-click

Assign middle click and the two thumb buttons to Exposé or Spaces functions

Scroll vertically AND horizontally

Assign functions to the buttons and vert scroll (but not horiz scroll?) in games

Change the DPI with the +/- buttons (but not assign them to other functions)

I was surprised that it all "just worked" out of the box.

(I'm thinking of returning it because the tracking is jumpy at low speeds, and I got the thing for BETTER tracking... but maybe mine's defective. That's a topic for a different thread.)
