Logitech Headset Sound Input Help Needed...

Hello all-

I bought a Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset which I figured would work with my C2D iMac. The speakers do but the mic does not. I know they make a digital version with USB connections that says Mac compatible. I hoped I didn't have to spend the extra money on the digital version.

Does anyone know if I can get the mic to work? I did play with preferences for the sound input.
