I recently read about how Logitech acquired TidyTilt and the case that I believe was originally a Kickstarter project. Recently it popped up on the Logitech web site and the leather one looked pretty nice (considering I am a huge Smart Cover fan). The leather version is till on pre-order so I went to Amazon and found a listing for "Logitech TidyTilt Smart Cover". I assumed this was it so I ordered it for the iPhone 5.
Right off I noticed that the packaging did not say Logitech anywhere. There was also one other issue. When folding the cover to make a triangle (to prop up the iPhone), it only sticks in place when the camera cut out is on the wrong side (so the leather plate needs to be flipped and it blocks the camera if you want to mimic the iPad Smart Cover folding action). I plan to return it but will re-order when it is available through Logitech as I like the concept a lot.
The shell piece is very thin and allows good access to all buttons and ports. The leather magnetic piece adds a little bulk/thickness but can be removed easily. When the leather piece is in place, it sticks to anything metal. I could see this being useful in different scenarios. It is a strong magnet and does not budge at all. I love the look and the idea of this case.
