Hi,
I just got a logitech LX3 optical mouse. I plugged it into my 10.5 OSX Mac Pro and it was working fine! It was using the "Steermouse" driver I had installed. Then I made the mistake of downloading and installing "Logitech Control Center," the actual driver for this mouse. Upon installation, the mouse stopped moving the cursor! However, The scroll wheel still works and if I right click, the context menu does come up. The driver did not even recognize any logitech mouses connected.
I ran the uninstaller for the logitech control center, and it is apparently no longer installed. The problem is still there though! I have plugged it into a variety of different usb ports on my machine, and restarted numerous times. I uninstalled steermouse and re-installed it, to no avail. My next idea would be to reinstall the system. Does anybody know an easier way to get this mouse working again? Thanks.
