Logitech M705 Mouse Doble Clicking When Single Clicking

2009 Mac Pro with 10.11.6. Installed the latest LCC from Logitech. Problem persists. It randomly double clicks when I single click. Very annoying.
Would switching to a Mac Mouse fix this?
Would switching to another kind of mouse?
Should I downgrade to Mavericks?

If you can't fix this within the LCC software, I'd UNinstall LCC and try either "USB Overdrive" or "SteerMouse" instead.

Also, can you adjust the double-click speed using -Apple's- mouse preference pane?
